At Q8 Research, LLC we take the obligation of protecting information entrusted to us seriously, and are committed to maintaining and respecting the privacy of all data in our care. Below please find our policies regarding handling and protection of customer and research participant information.

Cookie Information

The Website uses “cookies” to help personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. We may use cookies to collect, store, and track information for statistical purposes to operate our Website and Services. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Client Confidentiality

Our marketing research role routinely puts us in contact with highly confidential information such as marketing strategies, product and positioning concepts, and personally identifiable information (e.g., client lists). We consider all client materials confidential information and they are kept in the strictest of confidence.

We sign and adhere to non-disclosure agreements with clients and require all
subcontractors to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Staff is screened with a national criminal background check and employees sign and are held to the Q8 Code of Conduct and various policies relating to data and confidentiality. Additionally, all client confidential data is kept in logically separated locations on our network, and access to client locations is restricted on a need to know basis.

Q8 Research does not sell or share information pertaining to individuals. This includes any information provided to us by our clients, such as email address, name, phone number, occupation, etc. Upon completion of the research initiative, personal data received by Q8 Research is destroyed or, at the direction of our client, secured for use in future research initiatives.

In some cases, we may need to share personal information with third parties that provide research support services. These may include qualitative recruiters, survey software providers and data analytics firms. Any third-party that receives information as part of the course of conducting research is obligated to follow the same privacy protection regulations as maintained by Q8 Research. Q8 Research reviews subcontractor policies and procedures on an annual basis to ensure compliance with Q8 policies, client master services agreements and adherence to best-in-class industry protocols.

Q8 Research shares data internally and may store information on cloud servers hosted by Dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/security). Dropbox is responsible for preventing data breaches by maintaining and updating the security of their IT system.

Q8 Research engages an outside agency to test and monitor Network, Operating System, and Database Security. Activity is monitored continuously and tested on a monthly basis.

As required, Q8 Research conforms to country specific and local data and privacy policies applicable to each project, including but not limited to, compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Research Participant Information

All responses to our research are completely confidential. We collect data in our studies for research purposes only, and our use of that information is limited to that study. Research participant answers will not be used by any entity as an aid for sales.

Research participation is voluntary and participants always have the opportunity to decline involvement or to “opt out” of any future research.

Data collected by Q8 Research may include personally identifiable information, survey responses, and both participant uploaded content (i.e. images, videos, etc.) and audio and video recordings from online or in-person in-depth interviews and focus groups. This information may be shared with clients and other related parties for research purposes only and may not be used for sales or other purposes. This information may not be used to contact research participants without their express
consent.

We do not rent, sell, or provide personal information to any third-party for the purpose of directly marketing any products or services.

Q8 Research follows industry accepted protocol for research and data collection. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that participants are informed about any recording, monitoring or observation during recruitment and at the beginning of data collection activity, conducting research during generally accepted days/times of day, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
